About this piece
DJ Hercules Sculpture, Banana “Comedian” Edition is a handmade pop art bust sculpture by artist Ahu Didem Sever of AND ICONIC – a bright white Hercules bust with headphones, paired with a hand-painted banana in pop art tones. Dynamic paint splashes and a playful nod to a pop art signature complete the surface.
This Hercules sculpture blends classical statuary with sharp pop-art irony. Inspired by Maurizio Cattelan's iconic Comedian and reimagined through the colorful spirit of 1960s pop art, the design features a bright white Hercules bust paired with a hand-painted banana in pop art tones. Dynamic paint splashes and a playful nod to a pop art signature complete the surface, while the headphone detail adds a contemporary twist.
Balancing humor, art history, and modern culture, this piece stands out as a bold decorative object that bridges Ancient Greece and 20th-century pop art. Designed for interiors that appreciate wit, contrast, and collectible character.
